The copyright and all other rights relating to the Software 
Documentation Layout Templates, in whatever form, including but not 
limited to the templates, supporting utilities, and the user 
documentation, are vested in CERN.

CERN, on a royalty-free and non-exclusive basis, hereby grants
permission to use, copy and modify the Software Documentation 
Layout Templates, subject to the following conditions:

  1. the Software Documentation Layout Templates are provided on 
     an as-is basis and CERN provides no warranties of any kind in 
     connection therewith;

  2. any copy of a document prepared using the Software Documentation 
     Layout Templates must include the following advice:

     "This document has been prepared using the Software Documentation 
      Layout Templates that have been prepared by the IPT Group 
      (Information, Process and Technology), IT Division, CERN 
      (The European Laboratory for Particle Physics). 
      For more information, go to http://framemaker.cern.ch/."

  3. if the Software Documentation Layout Templates or parts thereof 
     are modified or included in any other computer software, and 
     such modification or inclusion does not constitute commercial 
     use as described in (4.), the following acknowledgement must 
     be mentioned in the resulting computer software and user 
     documentation:

     "This product includes software created and made available by
      CERN. This acknowledgement shall be mentioned in full in any
      product which includes the CERN computer software included
      herein or parts thereof.";

  4. any commercial use of the Software Documentation Layout Templates 
     is subject to prior written permission by CERN. Commercial use 
     includes: 

        i. integration of all or part of the Software Documentation 
           Layout Templates into a product for sale or for licensing 
           to third parties, or

       ii. distribution of the Software Documentation Layout Templates 
           to third parties to enable them to utilise a commercial 
           product sold or licensed by or on behalf of the licensee 
           of the Software Documentation Layout Templates;

  5. all copies made of the Software Documentation Layout Templates 
     or of parts thereof shall include this copyright statement 
     in full.
