7 Tables
Tables are created by selecting
Insert Table...
from the
Table
menu. A few simple general-purpose table formats are provided in all files. Selecting one of these formats will create an empty table, at the insertion point, as described by the format. The predefined formats are:
-
2 Column Simple
; 2 columns, 1 heading row and 4 body rows.
-
3 Column Simple
; 3 columns, 1 heading row and 4 body rows.
-
4 Column Simple
; 4 columns, 1 heading row and 4 body rows.
-
5 Column Simple
; 5 columns, 1 heading row and 4 body rows.
In every case, a numbered
Table Title
is automatically created and placed belowthe table. Some other paragraph formats are provided for use within table cells:
-
Table Cell Heading
, for table headings.
-
Table Cell Body
, for table cell text.
-
Table Cell Body Centered
, for centred table cell text.
-
Table Footnote
, for footnotes within table cells.
Customising the table, such as changing the number of columns, cell straddling, ruling, shading, etc., must be done manually using the options under the
Table
menu.
Table 1: This table uses the predefined
4 Column Simple
predefined table format.
